Day 4- I forgot about scategories.

Today started with hours at home. Starting at 10 I began planning activities for the kids to do next week. I filled out a table for each day and acknowledged the materials I need to get and all of that. It took me a while to find out what I wanted to do next week, but after I was done I emailed it to Federica. 

Federica and I email in Italian and I use google translate and chat.gpt because it is easiest for her to use and understand and honestly much faster. I forwarded her the calendar for next week for the activities and she approved them when I saw her in person. 

When I arrived, the children were in Primavera and it was Maria and Fancescos’s birthday, so I brought them oreos. They taught me a new game today and it was really interesting. It was a lot like this game I used to play towards the end of the year in high school where you have a timer and 5 categories and the head person picks a letter and you have one minute to think of a word starting with that letter in each of the categories. It was great because we used google translate a little to understand each other, but it was nice to learn new words and teach each other about the words we chose.I won the game, but the twins gave a good try. They are great people and helped me learn the game again. 

After this, we had a birthday party for the twins and celebrated with a salty snack first, chips and cheetos and then cake made by the nuns. It was so wonderful. They even invited me to take pictures with them which is so welcoming. I am so consistently surprised by how easily and willingly they allow me to walk into their family. It is such a blessing.
