Week 9- I'm so sad this is ending.

This week was bittersweet! It is the last full weeks with the Ariel kids and I have really enjoyed being there with them. This week we watched movies and did snack night, we played uno and other card games, and we had a service learning activity. 

Monday was a regular day just doing movie and snacks. We watched Rio and they had popcorn and nutella/white chocolate mixed up. This is something I have brought before and they loved it, so I thought it would be a good wrap up to the first time I brought it. Tuesday was another regular day playing games and just hanging out. I love just being in their space and that they let me be there and help me understand what is going on. Honestly I am just so grateful to be here. The same happened on Thursday!

Wednesday was a wonderful day with lots of bracelet making and just craft fun. We made bracelets with a couple of students from Sant’Anna and then made a “tree of friendship” pictured below.They had a lot of fun connecting with the students and it tired out Mario and Georgia, so that was all a win. 

These reflections have shown me 1, how difficult it is to recall things, but 2, how genuinely happy I am to be participating in this internship. I have loved this experience so much and I hope I can come back!
